Registrable Industrial Designs

1. Industrial Designs that have novelty, provided that on the filing date the Industrial Design application is not the same as the disclosure of an Industrial Design that has previously existed;
2. Not contrary to applicable laws and regulations, public order, religion, or morality.

Term of Protection and Rights

The term of protection of an industrial design is 10 years from the filing date. The holder of an industrial design right has exclusive rights to exercise the rights owned and to prohibit others, without consent, from making, using, selling, importing, exporting, and/or distributing related products.
